Photo: Key actor in Chibok girls abduction arrested
In a statement released moments ago, the Nigerian military said it has arrested Babuji Ya'ari, (pictured above), who is described as the key actor in the Chibok girls abduction. Babuji, according to the military, was a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as civilian JTF, which he used as a cover to spy on the activities of the Nigerian security forces, acting as a spy & gathering information for terrorist group. The military also said Ya'ari has coordinated several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011. Find the press statement signed by Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, after the cut...
A terrorists' intelligence cell headed by a businessman who participated actively in the abduction of School Girls in Chibok has been busted by troops. The man, Babuji Ya'ari who is also a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as Civilian JTF which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the murder of the Emir of Gwoza. His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.
Babuji has been coordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.
The arrest of the businessman who is known to deal in tricycles has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists' intelligence cell who are women. One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier escaped to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested. Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group. In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of N10,000 is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.
Another female suspect named Haj Kaka who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group has also been arrested. Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists' intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.
In another development, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.

Update on yesterday's attack near Chibok: 48 killed, 5 churches razed
48 people have been confirmed dead while 5 churches including Cocin, EYN and Deeper Life Bible church were destroyed after Boko Haram men yesterday June 29th launched a four hour attack on Kwada, Karagau and Kautikari villages in Chibok, Borno state. The attack came two weeks after the sect men had written a letter to the Chibok community saying they should expect another attack from them. True to their word, they carried out their threat yesterday.
According to residents of the villages, the gunmen arrived in pickup vans and motorcycles and immediately went into worship centers where they shot indiscriminately at people conducting theirSundayworship service. They also pursued and killed those who tried running into the bushes. Continue..
Amos Bulus, a resident of one of the villages who spoke to Vanguard said;
"The attackers killed and burnt houses after attacking worshipers in five churches in Kwada, before moving to Kautikari less than 8 kilometres to Chibok town, killing and burning down people's houses and property. The security operatives were not on ground to defend us. In fact, those who ran into the bush were pursued and killed by the murderers." he said
Another resident, Peter Maina said he was called out from a Church service in Maiduguri, only to be informed that his brother was killed at Kwada when the insurgents attacked the village during church service.
Confirming the attack, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District said more efforts should be put in place by the Federal Government in fighting the insurgents
"The military and other security agencies should do more by not only deploying more personnel, but cooperating fully with members of the Local Vigilante Group in fighting terrorism and insurgency in this part of the state. They know the terrains of Sambisa Forest and can track insurgents in their hideouts. The two should work as a team to end this Boko Haram insurgency that will clock five years byJuly 29, 2014", Ndume said.

President Jonathan condemn attacks on churches near Chibok...
Find the State House press release below..
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has received with dismay and consternation reports of yesterday's attacks by Boko Haram on churches in villages near Chibok, Borno State.
The President deplores the renewed targeting by Boko Haram of adherents of a particular religion and urges all lovers of peace and unity to wholly condemn the resurgence of efforts by agents of global terrorism to disunite and destabilize Nigeria by callously instigating violence among religious groups in the country.
President Jonathan shares the view of the most learned Islamic leaders and scholars that no true Muslim will resort to the mindless killing of innocent people at any time, especially not during the holy month of Ramadan, to redress any perceived grievance.
The President believes, therefore, that Sunday's attacks on churches and other similar atrocities by Boko Haram are conclusive proof, if any is still needed, that its leaders and members are thoroughly misguided persons who are only using religion as a cover for their reprehensible crimes against their countrymen and women.
President Jonathan urges all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to resist this new attempt to undermine the nation's firm and collective resolve to unite in full support of its armed forces and security agencies against the vicious perpetrators of brutal attacks on innocent citizens.
The President assures all Nigerians once again that the Federal Government and national security agencies will continue to intensify ongoing efforts to end Boko Haram's senseless attacks until the terrorists are routed and totally defeated.
He commiserates with the families and churches that lost loved ones, members and places of worship during Sunday's attacks.

T.I and Tiny kiss and make-up? Sit together at 2014 BET Awards
Divorce rumours have been following rapper T.I and his wife Tiny for many months now after they subtly attacked each other on their social media accounts. There was even a report that their problems started after Tiny found out T.I had a baby with another woman, a claim T.I has since denied. Then there's the famous show down with Floyd Mayweather in Vegas. Anyway, the couple put the divorce rumours to rest after they were photographed sitting together at the BET Awards that held on Sunday night. They were also spotted together at T.I.'s BET pre-show mansion party...

Rick Ross Arrested in North Carolina!
Rapper Rick Ross was arrested last night (June 27) in Greenboro, N.C., following his performance at the 2014 SuperJam at the Greensboro Coliseum. The arrest stemmed from a year-old warrant for another North Carolina arrest related to marijuana possession; Ross reportedly failed to appear in court for that violation in 2013.
TMZ reports that Ross cooperated with local police, posted bail and has now been released.
Rick Ross Arrested on Misdemeanor Marijuana Possession Charge
Ross is no stranger to the courts system, having previously been arrested on multiple infractions in multiple states, including a Miami arrest for guns and marijuana in 2008 and a 2011 marijuana possession bust in Shreveport, L.A.; he was sued in civil court for assault and battery in Houston in 2008 and for copyright infringement in 2010 and 2011 in California and Memphis, respectively.

France 2-0 Nigeria: Pogba breaks Super Eagles' hearts
Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama went from hero to zero as his error helped France to a 2-0 FIFA World Cup last-16 triumph.
Enyeama, who plies his trade with Lille in the French top flight, made sensational saves from Karim Benzema and Paul Pogba, but the latter capitalised to book a quarter-final place when the keeper flapped at a 79th-minute corner in Brasilia.
A Jospeh Yobo own goal in stoppage time further compounded Nigeria's late misery.
The African nation entered the match under the cloud of a dispute over bonus payments with the Nigeria Football Federation, but Stephen Keshi's men played a full part in an entertaining goalless first half.
Emmanuel Emenike thought he put Nigeria ahead, only to fall foul of a marginal offside call, while a stunning stop by Enyeama somehow prevented Pogba from volleying France in front.
As in the first half, France weathered pressure and finished stronger - Victor Moses' goal-line clearance and further heroics from Enyeama denying Benzema either side of Yohan Cabaye clattering the crossbar.
And Pogba headed into an unguarded net before Yobo put through his own net to set up a last-eight tie for France against either Germany or Algeria on Friday.
Nigeria's pace and drive in attack left France disorganised early on and when Olivier Giroud hacked over from Benzema's 15th-minute pass, it marked a rare moment of encouragement for Didier Deschamps' team.
Emenike was similarly off-target from a promisingly placed free-kick, before the Nigeria forward was denied by a 19th-minute offside flag.
France right-back Mathieu Debuchy breathed a sigh of relief having horribly sliced a clearance to Ahmed Musa, whose low cross was touched home by Emenike at the near post.
Enyeama made a remarkable reaction save after Pogba drove forward and smashed a 23rd-minute volley goalwards on the end of Mathieu Valbuena's return cross.
A drop in tempo around the half-hour mark clearly suited France, but Debuchy could not capitalise when a patient spell of possession sent a half-chance his way.
The Newcastle United defender was wasteful again in the 40th minute having been teed up by the impressive Valbuena.
A frantic close to the half matched its opening, with France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris far from convincing behind a speculative Emenike drive.
Peter Odemwingie - the match-winner in Nigeria's decisive Group F victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina - tested Lloris with a 65th-minute drive that bounced awkwardly, while tension in the French ranks was increasingly shown by sloppy errors in possession.
But Deschamps' men came agonisingly close to leading with 20 minutes left as Benzema exchanged passes with Giroud's replacement Antoine Griezmann.
The Real Madrid forward's effort was partially stopped by Enyeama and Moses was back to hack clear as the ball looped towards the net.
Benzema's low cross was cleared for Cabaye to thunder a rasping shot against the bar and Enyeama excelled himself again to keep out a Benzema header.
But he erred from Valbuena's resulting corner as France took the lead, making a later outstanding stop to thwart Griezmann seem particularly cruel.
Nigeria's defence became disjointed in the closing minutes and Yobo's own goal under pressure from Griezmann made the defender's 101st cap one to forget.
The last five times that France have taken part in the knockout stages of the World Cup, they have reached the semi-finals or better. Now Germany or Algeria stand between this sequence continuing.

Egypt: Bomb Blast Rocks Presidential Palace
A small bomb exploded in the vicinity of the main presidential palace in the Egyptian capital on Monday, killing a police colonel and wounding three street cleaners, police officials told Agence France-Presse.
The blast came days after a militant Islamist group warned it had planted bombs near the Ittihadiya palace in east Cairo, and claimed it did not set them off to avoid civilian casualties.
The attack occurred on the day Egypt is preparing for celebrations to mark the anniversary of June 30 protests last year which lead to the ouster of Islamist President Mohammad Morsi.
There is expected to be a high turnout in Cairo's Tahrir Square, where protests were staged last year demanding the "withdrawal of confidence" from then President Morsi.
Last year, a campaign saw mass protests calling for Morsi to step down exactly 12 months after he was inaugurated. The campaign, named Tamarod (Arabic for "rebellion"), accused Morsi of "threatening his own people" and rejected Muslim Brotherhood rule.
The protests led to then then Egyptian army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ousting Morsi and announcing the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Adly Mansour, as caretaker leader.
It has been a turbulent year for Egypt which has seen a new constitution and president be installed. Sisi resigned from the army and became a candidate in the presidential elections last month which he won in a landslide vote.
In a statement to the press on Monday, Cairo governor Dr. Mustafa Jalal al-Said has said that security forces will be on high alert throughout the day.
The last time large crowds gathered in the Square was during celebrations on Sisi's inauguration day earlier this month. But the celebrations were mired by a sexual assault on a woman by a mob in the Square.

You Wont Believe the degrees Popular Artistes dumped for Fame! [Photos]
In those days, perhaps even till the early 90s, Nigerian parents did not readily welcome the idea of their children pursuing a career in music. They would rather like their children to pursue careers in medicine, law or engineering.
However, a few celebrities today have been able to withstand criticism and the temptation to push aside their education. They have shown that entertainers too have brains and can also live glamorous lives.TribuneNgchronicles the lives of some of these artistes who are degree holders.
Dr Sid
FROM an early age, Dr. Sid (real name is Sidney Esiri) had his heart set on becoming a singer. One would think that coming from a family where his late father, veteran actor Justus Esiri, was an actor, being an entertainer would be pretty easy – but it was not.
In an earlier interview with Saturday Tribune, Dr Sid said, "I had to apply for Dental Surgery and focus on being a dentist until my first year when I joined a dance group called Rock Force. While still trying to be a dentist, I moved to Trybes Men.
When asked what his late dad's reaction was, the musician said, "He was pretty upset. He even said he did not want to see me, and kicked me out of the house. Later on, I found out that his harsh judgement at that time was to test my resolve; to see if I was sure that I would work hard in the music industry the same way I would work hard as a dentist. And immediately he saw this, he gave me his support."
Sidney, better known as Dr Sid is a graduate from the University of Ibadan, and is a certified dentist.
Ali Baba
ALI Baba was born into a family that wanted him to study Law to be able to take care of them, but deep down, the ace comedian knew that that was not what he wanted to do. He, however, had his education at Ibru College in Agbarha-Otor and then went on to the Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University), Ekpoma where he studied Religious Studies & Philosophy.
After acquiring a degree from the then Bendel State University in 1990, he relocated to Lagos, having discovered his comic talent in his third year in university. He had planned to return to Ekpoma to study Law but that was not to be, since he discovered he could make more money from making people laugh than defending them.
While trying to make a mark as a comedian with brains, Ali Baba told Saturday Tribune that he had to do lots of free shows and even begged to be allowed a few minutes to perform at seminars, and AGMs.
Well, now known as one of the most influential comedians in the history of Nigeria, Ali Baba's driving force, as he told Saturday Tribune, is to prove to his father that he did not have to study Law to make it.
Naeto C
The Owerri-born rapper was born to former Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland, Dr. Mrs. Kema Chikwe and Chief Herbert Chikwe. Though he spent his early years in Ireland, his fondness for music grew fast and was articulated into other creative art forms, most specifically poetry, which took him to various competitions and earned him accolades as a young poet.
He, however, had to finish school before the dream of being a musician could grow big. After finishing his secondary education in Lagos, Naeto C moved to the United States for higher education both in Suny old Westbury and a year later, George Washington University. It was at this time that he met Uzikwendu and Ikechukwu, who were aspiring hip-hop artistes out of Washington Heights, New York.
Naeto C graduated in 2004 from the George Washington University with a BSc. in Biology, intending to study further and become a medical doctor. After some deep self-searching, he changed his mind and decided to pursue his dream and develop his talent as a musician.
In the summer of 2013, Naeto C disappeared from the entertainment scene and returned to school to pursue a higher degree in London at the Oxford University, taking a course in Energy Economics.
Banky W
ALTHOUGH Bankole Wellington (BankyW) was born in the United States to Nigerian parents, his family moved back to Lagos, Nigeria, when he was five years old where he began singing in his church choir at the age of eight.
After completing his secondary school education at Home Science Association Secondary School, he moved to New York to attend college on a scholarship, earning a degree in Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It was while he was still in college that the engineer-cum-musician won the 'Albany Idol' competition, which catapulted him into the spotlight.
Funke Akindele
FORGET the fact that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, may be comical with most of her television roles, she is nothing near an illiterate. The former Miss Akindele attended the University of Lagos where she earned a degree in Law.
Mocheddah
IN 2008, it was difficult not to notice Mo Cheddah as she ruled the air waves alongside her young counterpart, Wizkid
But Mo Cheddah did not allow her rising music career deter her from completing her education. Even when she was asked in an earlier interview how she was coping with school, she said, "It's so hard, but I have to go to school. There is no compromise on it. I know some other people would have decided to dump school and face their career; but I didn't think of doing that. This is something I have to do. It is a total struggle. Remember I have to travel all the time. But I read my books everywhere I go. I read inside the plane. This is a life I have chosen to live. I also have to be in school because I wouldn't want people to think I am a celebrity who is dumb upstairs. You know how people behave to you when they know they have an advantage over you? They will want to be rude to you. I will never allow that."
Now a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, Mo Cheddah has continued with her singing career, and even also hopes to become an actress.

Oscar Pistorius Declared Not Mentally ill During Shooting
After a six-week break, the murder trial that has gripped South Africa and the world has resumed when Pistorius returned to the dock after a month of psychiatric tests. And according to a psychiatric panel and a psychologist, Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who is facing charges of murdering his girlfriend, is not mentally ill.
Reading from the psychologist report, one of two reports that said the star runner should be held criminally responsible, State Prosecutor Gerrie Nel said:
"Mr Pistorus did not suffer from a mental illness or defect that would have rendered him
criminally not responsible for the offence charged."The star sprinter has tried to argue that a "generalised anxiety disorder" contributed to him shooting dead his 29-year-old model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year. Oscar admits shooting Steenkamp with a 9mm pistol through a locked toilet door, but says it was a mistake as he thought she was an intruder coming to attack him in the dead of night.

BREAKING NEWS: Kaka leaves Milan Speculation that the Brazilian could return to his homeland or make a move to the MLS will be fuelled by his departure from the Rossoneri
AC Milan have announced that Kaka will leave the club after agreeing to a mutual termination of his contract.
The Brazilian returned to San Siro last summer after a disappointing spell at Real Madrid, but was unable to prevent the Rossoneri's decline as they missed out on European football.
He has been strongly linked with a move to his homeland or to Major League Soccer and Milan have now confirmed that they will go separate ways this summer.
"AC Milan announce that they have today terminated the contract of Kaka by mutual agreement," a club statement read.
Sao Paulo vice-president Ataide Gil Guerreiro claimed on Monday that the 32-year-old would return to his first club before making a move to MLS outfit Orlando City.
Kaka scored nine goals and set up eight others during his solitary season back at Milan, with whom he had previously won the Champions League.

Nigerian Medical Association Declares Strike!
The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has declared an indefinite strike and advised its members to stay away from work with effect from July 1, 2014.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja, President of the association, Dr Kayode Obembe, said that the Federal Government has failed to address the demands of the association and the association was forced to take the action in order to save the health care delivery system from anarchy that is imminent in the health sector.
The association is among other things demanding the stoppage of the appointment of non-doctors as directors and consultants.
They are also demanding the immediate passage of the National Health Bill, appointment of a Surgeon-General of the Federation, the payment of 100,000 Naira hazard allowance for medical doctors and the skipping of level 12 by medical and dental practitioners.
The association had earlier in the month addressed a news conference at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where it advised the Federal Government to urgently address its 24-point demand or be prepared for the indefinite strike with effect from July 1.

Annie Macaulay-Idibia was last week's guest on Ndani TV's "The Juice".
While giving the juice on their movie-like first meeting, and the friendship and love that has endured through ups and downs, Annie excitedly said "I just knew there was one strong attraction"

How she got back into shape after giving birth to Olivia: First six weeks, I didn't do anything but then i started to run a little and just some little exercise, nothing much.
2face and the labor room:No he wasn't in the labor room with me, I didn't want him to but he wanted to but you know the nature of his job, so he came in two days later and I'm glad he wasn't even there....When I went into labour, I was like a mad woman, I was screaming and I ddin't want him to see all that...
On being married to the most famous musician in Africa:He is a regular guy, it's like getting married to any regular guy you fall in love with. Sometimes we forget the fame, Innocent is really normal to a fault....Sometimes when I wake up, what comes to my mind is ' oh my boy, i love this boy' and he looks like a baby when he sleeps.

I didn't even see the proposal coming cos we were not really together that period, we were just being good parents to my daughter, so when he proposed, I said yes because I want to be with him regardless and moreover he is not a bad person.
Dating other guys:Yes I dated other guys in between the complications and all but i really loved 2face, it was always 2face, he's my soul mate.
Why he proposed:He kinda realized that that was where his heart was, he was confused for a long time but he made the right choice

Romance with 2face:We fool around a lot ooo...he joins me in the kitchen sometimes, he helps with the house chores a lot. We play a lot, we do almost everything together like from cooking etc...we joke about almost everything and say the silliest things!

MONEY SPEAKING:- Mike Adenuga Sends $250,000 To Super Eagles, Promises More If They Beat France Today
The Minister of Sports, Hon Tammy Danagogo, has announced that Nigerian business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr, has sent him $250,000 for the Super Eagles, ahead of Monday's round of 16 clash against France.
This news will boost the team, who failed to train last week due to a bonus row, until President Goodluck Jonathan intervened and promised they will be paid their allowances.
"He said this is a token and if the team goes ahead and shock the world he will join Mr President to shock the team," Danagogo said, while making the announcement to excited players and their officials.
Midfielder John Mikel Obi, speaking later at the FIFA media briefing, promised that Nigeria will do all it takes to achieve victory.
"It's a great opportunity for us and the weather will affect both sides but we hope to do what we have to do to win the match," he declared.

14 Years Of Privatisation: FG Earns Only N251bn
The federal government earned the sum of N251.5 billion only as gross proceeds from the sale of 122 public enterprises since 1999, the director-general of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Benjamin Dikki, has revealed.
Dikki, who made this disclosure in Abuja at the weekend while delivering a paper entitled "The Federal Government's Privatization And Economic Reform Programme" at the maiden annual lecture of Just
Friends Club Of Nigeria, also revealed that, of the N251.5 billion, only N147 billion net proceeds has been remitted to the Privatisation Proceeds Account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Dikki listed some of the privatised enterprises to include Eleme Petrochemical Company which, he said, has now been revitalised and is producing at over 90 per cent capacity. Others include Benue Cement Company, Ashaka Cement Company, West African Portland Cement Company, Okomu Oil Palm, Savannah Sugar Company, NAHCO, and Federal Palace Hotel.
He also stated that plans to privatise the refineries were still on, noting that government halted the process to engage labour and reach an understanding of how the privatisation would be structured. He said approval has been given for labour to be part of the Privatisation Steering Committee to be chaired by the minister of petroleum resources.
He said: "If labour agrees with us today, we will start the process of advertising for a transaction adviser who will conduct a study on the industry and come up with recommendation on what privatisation model the steering committee will adopt.
"Right now, Eleme Petrochemical requires the by-product of refining for its production, but it's not getting enough because the refineries are not producing at optimal level. There are 10 to 15 industries that can spring up from the by-product of refining and they will create employment. Government believes it is imperative that these refineries are privatised and that the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) is expeditiously passed.
"Once the PIB is passed it will aggregate all the regulatory powers in one institution. Currently, the regulatory powers are dispersed amongst the Ministry of Petroleum, the NNPC, the PPPRA and DPR and that becomes a jungle for any business man to navigate. Regulatory impediment must be removed and that's why we are appealing to the National Assembly to pass the current version of the PIB," Dikki stated.

Photos Of World Leaders Watching The World Cup
The 2014 FIFA World Cup has so far produced some striking photos of festive fans from around the world, but none of them quite compare to the supremely awkward images of world leaders who have also flocked to Brazil in support of their teams.
The following uncomfortable imagery of rulers and royals is proof that although their hearts may be in the right place, their body language is not.
1.German Chancellor Angela Merkel appears to give a fiendish cheer as her nation's squad crushes Portugal.
2. King Philippe - Filip and Queen Mathilde of Belgium do their best impressions of mannequins as they witness their subjects' match against Russia on June 22, 2014.
3. Barak Obama - What better place to watch the U.S. play Germany than Air Force One?
4. UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon (back row) engages in a possible photobomb of the man in front of him, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff (back right) is unamused.
5. U.S. Vice President Joe Biden wonders how long these things generally last.
6.Prince Harry looks incredibly unenthused while watching the match between Cameroon and Brazil on June 23, 2014 in Brasilia, Brazil.
7. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and his wife Maria Clemencia actually appear pretty happy and into it while fully decked out in gear
8. Not so much with Mayor of Buenos Aires Mauricio Macri and his wife Juliana Awada.
9. Chile's President Michelle Bachelet also looks pretty glum during a match between Chile and Australia.
10.Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez on the other hand is all awkward smiles while watching his squad play Ecuador. That's the spirit, Mr. President.
11. President Jonathan watching the Nigeria -Bosnia World Cup match, won by Nigeria 1-0.
12.Iranian President Hassan Rouhani watching the match between Nigeria and Iran
