The versatile attacker slotted home a 22nd-minute spot-kick, after Mario Gotze had been felled in the area, as Pep Guardiola's men made it six points from six in Group E
Bayern Munich overcame a stubborn CSKA Moscow outfit to record their 100th Champions League victory with a 1-0 triumph on Tuesday.
Thomas Muller's first-half penalty proved decisive for Pep Guardiola's side in the Group E clash at an empty Arena Khimki, which was closed to supporters due to UEFA-imposed sanctions after CSKA fans displayed "a range of racist and far-right symbols" in a Champions League match with Viktoria Plzen last December.
Bayern did the double over CSKA in last season's competition, but the Russian champions were no pushovers and Ahmed Musa and Roman Eremenko both went close to cancelling out the deficit in the first half.
But Bayern, who have now kept six clean sheets on the bounce in all competitions, were just as dominant after the break and comfortably produced a repeat of their result in the group-stage opener against Manchester City.
The victory - which brings up a century of successes for the Germans since the new format for Europe's elite tournament was introduced in 1992 - makes it nine unbeaten for Guardiola's men.
Leonid Slutsky's defensive plan was evident from the start, with the hosts happy to keep 11 men behind the ball in an attempt to frustrate Bayern, who began with a back three in the absence of Jerome Boateng (rested) and Holger Badstuber (thigh).
CSKA did launch a rare foray forward inside the opening 10 minutes as Eremenko found Musa but the Nigerian's shot was well over the crossbar.Mario Gotze spurned a more presentable opportunity at the other end with a poorly struck shot from inside the box, while Arjen Robben's effort from the edge of the area forced Igor Akinfeev into a smart near-post save.
Spain international Xabi Alonso got a sight of goal from a long-range free-kick in the 17th minute but only succeeded in finding the grateful arms of Akinfeev as Bayern struggled to create clear-cut chances.
But the visitors got the boost they needed when Mario Fernandes brought down Gotze in the box andMuller- who also scored a penalty in Bayern's 3-1 triumph at CSKA in last season's Champions League - converted from the spot after 22 minutes.
That setback forced CSKA out of their shell and Eremenko fired a dangerous shot just over Manuel Neuer's goal in the home side's next attack.
And they should have levelled nine minutes before the interval when Musa - who netted in the 5-1 loss to Roma a fortnight ago - raced through with only Neuer to beat but powered his shot straight at the goalkeeper's chest.
Eremenko struck the crossbar late in the first half as CKSA sent a timely reminder to Bayern that they were still in the match.
The start to the second period was lively, with Musa almost capitalising on some hesitancy in the Bayern defence before Robert Lewandowski was denied by Georgi Schennikov's excellent block as he looked to pull the trigger.
Slutsky introduced Seydou Doumbia from the bench for the last quarter of the game in the hope that the Ivorian could add to his five goals this season.
But he was isolated in attack and it was the Bundesliga champions who continued to look the more likely, Gotze swerving a shot wide as the away side went in search of a second.
Akinfeev bravely thwarted Xherdan Shaqiri at the death, but one goal proved to be enough for Bayern, who further underlined their status as favourites to win the group, while CSKA face an uphill struggle to claim a qualifying spot after suffering defeat in their opening two games.

Sporting Lisbon 0-1 Chelsea: Matic header gives Blues narrow win
Jose Mourinho's side were living dangerously in the second half but eventually picked up a battling victory which sends them three points clear at the top of group G
Nemanja Matic's header was enough to hand Chelsea a narrow 1-0 win at Sporting Lisbon and send Jose Mourinho's men to the top of group G in the Champions League.
Matic, who spent three years in Lisbon with Sporting's great rivals, Benfica, before returning to the Blues in January, converted Cesc Fabregas's cross after 34 minutes.
The Serb found the net in a half dominated by the visitors but the home side proved more competitive after the break to leave the result in doubt up until the final whistle.
The result sees Chelsea bounce back from their draw with Schalke at Stamford Bridge on matchday 1, while Sporting, who had previously lost just one of nine home fixtures against English opposition, will rue the end of an unbeaten run at the Estadio Jose Alvalade that stretched to 16 matches in European competition.
Having previously claimed that in-form frontman Diego Costa was incapable of playing multiple matches in a week, Jose Mourinho named the Spain international in his starting XI for the second time in four days, while captain John Terry made his 100th Champions League outing.
Costa was in the thick of the action early on - failing to slip a shot past advancing Sporting goalkeeper Rui Patricio after being sent clean through in the second minute.
It was the visitors who were dictating the early pace but Thibaut Courtois had to be on guard to scoop up a low Jonathan Silva cross from the left when Sporting looked to threaten the Chelsea goal for the first time.
Patricio got down well to deny Andre Schurrle as the Germany forward tried to round the goalkeeper after getting on the end of an Oscar through-ball in the 15th minute before Islam Slimani's downward header at the other end was comfortably held by Courtois.
Schurrle should have done better than skew wide of the left-hand post when Eden Hazard found him with a cut back in the 22nd minute butMaticfinally made the breakthrough 12 minutes later. The 26-year-old midfielder peeled off at the back post to meet a Cesc Fabregas free from the left, sending a looping header over a helpless Patricio and into the back of the net.
A push by Filipe Luis on Nani on the edge of the Chelsea box drew the ire of all in green and white five minutes into the second half before Oscar squandered a one-on-one opportunity similar to Costa's early chance.
Sporting certainly looked more alert at the start of the second half - Nani sent an effort into the side netting, while Adrian Silva swerved a volley over the crossbar
Filipe Luis and Mohamed Salah went close for Chelsea in the closing stages, while a curling strike from Nani whistled narrowly wide, and Mourinho may be concerned by his side's failure to put the match to bed.
However, news of a draw in Group G's other fixture between Schalke and Maribor, along with Costa's ability to last the full 90 minutes, should soon bring a smile back to the face of the Chelsea boss after picking up a valuable three points in his homeland.

Manchester City 1-1 Roma: Stalemate leaves Blues with uphill struggle
Manuel Pellegrini's men are three points adrift of Wednesday's opponents and five behind group E leaders Bayern Munich after playing out a tight draw at the Etihad Stadium
Manchester City are five points off the top of Champions League group E following a 1-1 draw at home to Roma.
The hosts enjoyed a near-perfect start on Tuesday as Sergio Aguero won and converted an early penalty before familiar frailties in Europe's premier competition reared their head once again.
Their defence was rarely allowed to settle as Roma flowed forward and took complete control of midfield, with Miralem Pjanic to the fore.
The Bosnia international supplied the ammunition for Francesco Totti to find a 23rd-minute leveller with a brilliant clipped finish, becoming the oldest scorer in Champions League history in the process.
Although Roma failed to recreate their first-half dominance after the break, the draw does far more favours for them in the wake of an opening-day 5-1 victory over CSKA Moscow.
The Russian champions are up next for City, who are winless in two outings and yet to score from open play.
As expected, Joe Hart returned in goal for City in place of Willy Caballero after two games on the bench, while there was also a change in goal for Roma as Morgan De Sanctis (groin) failed a late fitness test, meaning Lukasz Skorupski was handed a rare start.
Experienced City centre-back Martin Demichelis replaced Eliaquim Mangala following the latter's shaky showing in Saturday's 4-2 win over Hull City, facing up a Roma attack featuring Totti, Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi.
Roma right-back Maicon returned to face his former club and displayed the inauspicious form on show all too often during his season at the Etihad Stadium when he hauled back Aguero to concede a fourth-minute penalty.
Aguero coolly converted to set his side on the way, but Maicon almost made amends at the other end when he flashed a venomous strike against the underside of the crossbar, and the Italians quickly set about their rivals.
That close call appeared to rob City of their early poise and Hart was out sharply in the 18th minute after Gervinho had evaded Vincent Kompany, but the equaliser was soon to arrive from a familiar source.
Totti spun in behind Kompany to collect a perfectly weighted pass from the excellent Pjanic and lifted a superb finish over Hart, who stumbled as he rushed from his goal.
Roma were fortunate not to concede a second penalty when a prone Kostas Manolas blocked Jesus Navas' cutback with his outstretched arm, but the visitors almost led after 43 minutes when Gervinho raced beyond Gael Clichy and Demichelis to draw a fine save from Hart.
James Milner replaced Navas at half-time as Manuel Pellegrini sought to stem Roma's midfield dominance, but Hart was again the goalkeeper in action seven minutes after the restart.
Florenzi's cross struck a flat-footed Demichelis and fell invitingly for Pjanic, with the England keeper spreading himself well to keep the scoreline level.
Pjanic then arched a curling 25-yard effort narrowly wide as City laboured, despite Milner injecting energy to proceedings.
City midfielder Fernandinho exchanged passes with Yaya Toure and the recently introduced Frank Lampard to prompt a vital last-ditch challenge from Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa in the 60th minute.
Five minutes later Pjanic lashed a shot over from the edge of the area - a moment of wastefulness out of keeping with his all-round display - before Skorupski got down well to his left to stop Lampard continuing a purple patch in front of goal.
David Silva prodded the ball narrowly wide in the third minute of injury time, but City have plenty to do if they are to avoid a third group-stage exit in four seasons.
Bayern Munich's 1-0 win in Moscow earlier on Tuesday leaves Pep Guardiola's side on six points, with Roma in second with four points from their first two matches.

Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 Barcelona: Matuidi strike settles classic in French capital
Lionel Messi and Neymar both got on the scoresheet but the French champions emerged victorious after David Luiz and Marco Verratti also scored
A goal from Blaise Matuidi was ultimately enough for Paris Saint-Germain as they beat Barcelona3-2 in a Champions League thriller on Tuesday.
The Ligue 1 champions were without talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well as Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi, but held off late Barca pressure to end the visitors' unbeaten start to the campaign and dampen an historic occasion for midfielder Xavi.
Coming off the bench to make a record 143rd appearance in the Champions League proper, the former Spain international was on the losing side after defender David Luiz - a target for the Spanish giants in the close-season - showed his quality in the final third with a smart turn and finish to give PSG what proved to be a short-lived lead after 10 minutes.
Lionel Messi was the man to restore parity less than two minutes later in the Group F clash as he swept home Barca's 500th Champions League goal, although PSG were ahead again shortly before the half-hour mark.
After Marc-Andre ter Stegen failed to collect a deep corner, Marco Verratti headed home his first PSG goal, with Blaise Matuidi making it 3-1 early in the second half.
While Neymar's smart finish from inside the area gave Barca hope, PSG had not lost at home in Europe since November 2006 - a record they maintained with some stoic late defending.
When Sergio Busquets lost possession cheaply early on, former Barca man Thiago Motta blazed PSG's first attempt over the crossbar as the hosts began brightly.
That lively opening was rewarded whenLuizbrought down Lucas Moura's free kick and rolled the ball past Ter Stegen as Barca conceded the first competitive goal of Luis Enrique's tenure.
PSG's joy was brief, however, asMessicapped off a slick exchange with Andres Iniesta to level and end his run of three Champions League games without a goal - the Argentina star's longest goalless sequence since May 2009.
Edinson Cavani was next to go close - the Uruguayan firing over from distance after bamboozling Jeremy Mathieu - before Neymar could only prod Messi's expertly dinked throughball over the crossbar.
Verrattithen took advantage of some questionable goalkeeping from Ter Stegen, heading in Motta's looping corner after 26 minutes.
While Messi came close with a curled free kick, PSG maintained their lead until the break and Cavani threatened soon after the interval as he cut inside Jeremy Mathieu and into a shooting position, only to slip at the vital moment.
PSG's pressure eventually brought a third goal after 54 minutes whenMatuidiswept home Gregory van der Wiel's delivery from the right, although, as in the first half, Barca hit back soon after.
Neymarcontrolled Dani Alves' delivery on his chest and delicately placed the ball past Salvatore Sirigu before Xavi came on to make Champions League history.
Iniesta - making his 100th appearance in the competition - fired over late on and Marquinhos then blocked Jordi Alba's goalbound effort.
Substitute Munir El Haddadi struck the post with a fierce drive, but Barca's search for a point proved in vain as the home side picked up their first win in Europe this term.

“How I Found N18 Million In My Cab” – Taxi Driver Honoured With MFR!
In 2012, an Abuja-based taxi driver, Mr. Imeh Usuah toldThisDaythat, "It was one morning by 5.30 AM, in November, 2007, when British Airways, landed at the international wing of the airport in Abuja. As usual, I positioned myself from metres away from the arrival wing waiting for passengers to come out so that I can get my customers and take them where ever they want to go inside town.
"In my waiting position I saw these two white men who came with the British airways. From distance I could observe that they were obviously tired from their look. They beckoned on me requesting for a drop at the Hilton Transcorp Hotel in Maitama area in Abuja. I didn't waste time as I immediately put some of their bags into the boot of my cab and the remaining ones neatly arranged on the back seat and underneath the seats, and off I headed for the destination. I arrived at the hotel lounge within 45 minutes and dropped them with their luggage. I got paid N,4000 for my service and I zoomed off, but unknown to both of us there was a bag which contained this huge amount of money left behind tucked away underneath my seat."
On how he discovered the money, he said:"I decided to take the cab for washing as my usual practice after the day's work, and while I was removing the foot mats in a bent down position, I saw this brown suite case tucked underneath the driver's seat. Immediately I remembered the passengers I had carried for the day and I started thinking of who really among them could have forgotten the suitcase. Instinctively I knew it was one of the many bags belonging to those chaps I took to Transcorp Hilton. Even though I didn't open the suitcase, I sensed at that hour that it must at least contain some valuable items. My immediate response was to inform our association chairman at that time, Mr. Alex Ekwueme Udom. I told him what happened and that I was returning the bag to the owners."
He further added that,"By the time I met these guys, the owners of the bag at the hotel, they were standing at the hotel lobby confused, dejected and frustrated. They couldn't even recognise me as the cab driver that brought them from the airport and shockingly they didn't know the number of taxi. But, I could recognise them. These people could not believe their eyes. Their confused state disappeared, and they were so happy that they went on their knees thanking me for returning the bag. They requested for my GSM numbers and in a twinkle of an eye, I disappeared from the scene."
Usuah didn't know the content of the bag:"It was after sometime that the Abuja Leasing Company called our association that a report got to them of somebody who returned the sum of N18 million left in his cab. Honestly that was when I knew that the bag I returned that fateful day contained that amount of money."

BUHARI DECLARES FOR 2015 PRESIDENCY
The race to occupy Aso Rock from May 29, 2015 has finally commenced with the big masquerade coming out to indicate his interest. Former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday declared that he would contest the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Buhari said his decision to run is because the PDP-led government from 1999 till date are purposeless and that there appears not to be a government in place in Nigeria at present. He said:
"Today, we are in the 15th year of purposeless leadership by the PDP and all we have seen is unprecedented deterioration in the security and law and order situation, astronomical rise in the incidence and intensity of corruption, and in the failure of governance.
"And as we reach this last lap of the journey, I would like to request that we concentrate all our effort and energy toward realising and achieving change in how this country is run.
"The only way to meaningful change in this country is to vote the PDP out of power to which it was never legitimately elected, anyway. The task before us today is wide ranging and very great. The first and most important is to take away power from those who have been misusing it.
"Indeed, except for the call of patriotism, public-spiritedness and an abiding love for the people off this country, nothing will today make honest, honourable and sane politician want to be saddled with Nigeria and an economy in trouble and a society in even deeper trouble – with its perilous security situation, with its extensive and almost unmanageable corruption and with its pervasive lawlessness. And a government – is there really a government? – that is not working."
General Buhari, who disclosed this in Abuja while addressing about 60 different groups urging him to run for the Presidency, said he would make his declaration formal on October 8.

Ekiti Violence: Finally! Soldiers Take Over The State Capital
Soldiers yesterday took over the streets of Ado-Ekiti to restore order after 24 hours of arson and bloodletting by thugs.
The soldiers patrolled the state capital to ensure there was no repeat of the Thursday night m****r of a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state, Chief Omolafe Aderiye, and the Friday burning of Governor Kayode Fayemi Campaign Secretariat and some vehicle in the premises by thugs.
Twice, earlier in the week, hoodlums had attacked perceived political opponents of the Governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, within the premises of the State High Court, Ado Ekiti after Justice Isaac Ogunyemi assumed jurisdictional power to hear and try Fayose in a case instituted by E-11, a socio-political group based in the state, over his eligibility to contest for the June 21 governorship election.
Justice Ogunyemi had dismissed the application by counsel to the Governor-elect which challenged the court's competence to try the case. The PDP accused Governor Fayemi and his party, APC, of masterminding Aderiye's m****r.
The former NURTW leader was allegedly shot at close range while relaxing with friends and associates about 8:30pm at his office at Ijigbo area of Ado-Ekiti, by men dressed in mobile police uniform. The assailants sped off in a white car as soon as they accomplished their mission.
As the day broke on Friday, hoodlums attacked the governor's campaign office and set it and some vehicles parked therein ablaze. Fayemi went on air and imposed a curfew with a view to stemming the violence.
He blamed the Governor-elect, Ayo Fayose, and the PDP for instigating the arson, and the police for not intervening.
"I am advised incontrovertibly that thugs acting on the command of Mr. Ayo Fayose, who was also present to lend his clout to the travesty, brazenly assaulted a senior judge and urged his thugs to beat him up and tear his clothes," Gov. Fayemi said, adding that the thugs whose action exceeded the limits of acceptable behaviour, carried out their scandalous attacks in the "full glare of law enforcement agents".
According to him, the failure of the security agents to deal appropriately with the court invasions emboldened them to unleash terror later in the week.
However, the soldiers deployed yesterday went round in trucks. Many shops in the town remained shut over fear of fresh trouble.
The state Police Command said it has arrested some suspects in connection with the court invasion. But no arrest has yet been made in connection with the assassination of Aderiye. The command, in a statement said the Police Commissioner, Taiwo Lakanu, personally "led a section of mobile and conventional policemen out all night and was able to forestall the breakdown of law and order generated by the killing."
It enjoined the people to comply with the dust to dawn curfew order made by the governor and warned that "any person or group of persons found flouting the order or breaking the law will be adequately dealt with in accordance with the law."
Meanwhile, the Ekiti State PDP yesterday described the Friday broadcast by Governor Fayemi as a further demonstration of his insensitivity.
The party wondered why the governor would address the state without making reference to the murdered Aderiye or sympathising with his family.
The governor visited the bereaved family on Friday.
It said:"Instead of showing concern for the soul already lost, Fayemi's concern was 'Court Cases' with which he intends to remain in power despite that Ekiti people rejected him totally on June 21, 2014. This is the height of wickedness!"
It dismissed as an aberration his directive to the state Attorney General to issue a legal advisory to the Chief Judge of the state and all the parties to the existing cases in the State High Court and the Ekiti State Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal, on the desirability of seeking an alternative venue for the hearing of these cases outside the state.
"Obviously, Fayemi has lost it all. The governor has allowed himself to be taken over by desperation to remain in power such that he could not understand that what he asked the Attorney-General to do simply amount to interfering in the workings of the judiciary, a separate arm of government," the PDP said.

See The Message Tonto Dikeh Send To T.B Joshua On Collapsed Building
In 2012 when she claimed he delivered her of her14yearssmoking habit through a TV programme.
Read Below
"I was watching a program on TV with Prophet T.B. Joshua and he was laying hands on people and praying for them.
I love to watch his programs on Emmanuel TV.
When he was praying, he said,
'Lay your hands on the TV' and I just laid my hands that day.
I actually needed something else from God, not to quit smoking because I loved smoking!
However, after praying I sat back and I think I slept off."
"When I woke up, I took a stick of cigarette and I felt crazy.
I couldn't even imagine that I took it up to smoke in the first place. It felt like poison…" she said.

Obasanjo’s StepDaughter Joins Lagos Governorship Race
Mrs Adetokunbo Tobun-Agbesanwa, the stepdaughter of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is set to contest the Lagos governorship elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
The stepdaughter of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is following in his footsteps with a foray into politics.
Mrs Adetokunbo Tobun-Agbesanwa is the daughter of Major Moji Adekunle-Obasanjo and Chief Adekunle Tobun and she is set to contest the 2015 Lagos governorship elections.
The intending candidate is currently a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State and she is set to contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
She spoke about her aspirations in an interview with Tribune Newspaper,
Excerpts below:
How did your parents influence your involvement in politics?
My parents played a great role in my development and my passion for politics. I wanted to study law but found myself studying political science.
My father, Chief Adekunle Tobun's activities during the Third Republic, when he contested for the gubernatorial primaries and the campaigns then, gave me a lot to learn and think about.
My late mother, Major Moji Adekunle-Obasanjo, gave me all the support and opportunity to utilise my knowledge and, at every instance, continued to boost my self-esteem. I am very lucky to have such great personalities as parents.
Women in politics are often considered as wayward and are often abused by their male counterparts.
How has your experience been so far? What are your regrets?
There is no gainsaying the fact that in our society, women have great obstacles in attaining political positions.
These are socio-economic factors rather than physical.
There have been arguments that women themselves frustrate the chances of their colleagues at securing elective offices, while another argument is that male politicians manipulate the system to the detriment of women.
In many cases, women are discouraged by late night meetings and women who attend have been labeled prostitutes.
I believe, however, that politics is not the only arena where we have wayward women or sexual harassment. It pervades the society; schools, the corporate world – everywhere.
Politics is an aspiration to serve; it is not do or die.
What gives you the impression that the time is ripe for a female governor in Lagos State, given its political sophistication, ethnic heterogeneity and the historical reality of male dominance in Lagos politics?
I could go on and on in answering this. But, I will try my best to summarise the issues.
First, as with any endeavour or responsibility, the eligibility of any individual aspiring for any job or position is measured by his credentials and suitability for the job.
The constitution provides that a person shall be eligible for the office of governor if he or she is a citizen of Nigeria by birth, at least 35 years of age; is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party.
There is no provision for gender discrimination in this article.
Consequently, I believe I even have more than enough requirements for the job.
Women's participation in politics – not only in Lagos State but in Nigeria – has been very poor due to a lot of factors that have nothing to do with the physical constitution of the female gender.
That is the reason I truly identify with my party, the APC, which has as its slogan, 'change.'

We Won’t Rush Synagogue Probe, Fashola Says
Lagos State Government would follow due process in the investigation of the September 12 building collapse at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, in Ikotun, Lagos, this is according to GovernorBabatunde Fashola.
The governor made the statement while receiving members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners in Ikeja, on Monday, 29 September, 2014, according to Punch report.
Fashola stated that the state government would not yield to pressure from those who wanted immediate action on the building collapse but would act methodically on the issue.
He informed that most of the pronouncements made on the incident did not reflect what actually happened and called on people to stop making comments that could bring more confusion into the situation.
"On this issue, we are going to act methodically. We are going to act in a civilised manner. This is what we discussed at the State Executive Council today.
"We are not going to, without evidence, say this person has done wrong. Investigations are always painstaking and are done through scientific processes.
"This is the way that every civilised society develops. And we must assume that all the necessary provisions of law will be complied with. That is our track record here and nothing less will happen in this case," Fashola said.
Fashola described NITP as the state's partner in progress and said his administration would continue to work with the association in ending the menace of building collapse in the state.
NITP National President, Chief Steve Onu, urged the state government to ensure that a thorough investigation was carried out to unearth the culprits of the disaster.
"This is a good opportunity at getting insight into the incidence of building collapse and know whether it happened by technical or natural occurrence," he said.

Mark Declares To Run For Senate For The Fifth Time In A Row
Senate President, David Mark has finally made known his intent to contest the 2015 election following his endorsement at the weekend by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue South senatorial district as its sole candidate.
This would be the fifth time Mark would be flying the party's ticket as he has run and so far won in all the elections for the Benue South senatorial seat since 1999.
Speaking at the party's stakeholders meeting in Otukpo, Benue State, Mark said on Saturday that the desire of the Idoma community to return him to the Senate again would no doubt create history in the political equation of the country.
The Senate President, who was represented by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, said he was humbled by the demand of his kinsmen and would not turn down the offer because he said the Idoma people deserve a place in national politics.
According to Moro, "the Senate president has accepted the call."
Earlier, the Chairman of PDP in the state, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, said the endorsement was for the common good of the Idoma nation which he asserted cannot afford to downplay the prominence the office of the Senate president has brought to the tribe.
The motion for the adoption of Mark as the party's flag bearer for the zone in 2015 was moved by the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Stephen Omeje, a move that was unanimously agreed to by all.
Dignitaries present at the meeting include deputy governor of the state, Chief Steven Lawani, Rep. Hassan Saleh, former minister of state for Education, Prof. Jerry Agada and all the nine local government Chairmen in the zone.

Chris Brown Lashes out at TMZ CEO Harvey Levin, Calls him “The Devil”
Chris Brown is so not pleased with TMZ, and some hours ago, he took to his IG page to blast the news website's CEO, calling him the devil.
Lately the headlines TMZ posted about Chris Brown include violence. Yesterday, they published a story about Chris Brown's mom fearing for his safety due to his connections with LA gang members, then they released a video of Chris Brown with the headline, "CHRIS BROWN SHOVES WOMAN Blocks Her Attempted Kiss."
An aggressive fan had attempted to kiss Chris on the lips and in a natural reflex, Chris pushed her out of the way. Breezy has been trying his best to clean up his image, he believes the website wants to bring him down, he has definitely had enough so he came after TMZ's Managing Editor, Harvey Levin.
CB has now deleted the post.

Finally! Tony Tetuila has Changed his Campaign Poster Look
Tony Tetuila had received a huge backlash after campaign posters of him proudly rocking his blonde hair were released.
In an interview with Tribune, Tony said he had done it because some youth leaders told him he could use the hair since it was his trademark. A lot more people disagreed, so Tony has now released a new campaign poster. I just hope his blonde hair critics will love him now.

No Reasons To Celebrate 54th Independence Day – Tinubu
Ex Lagos State governor Asiwaju Bola Tinubu explains why he does not feel optimistic about celebrating Nigeria's 54th Independence in an elaborate fashion.
Nigerians suffer from poor leadership, while the nation is yet to fulfill its potential, P.M. News reports with reference to Tinubu's statement released today, September 29.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader started his address with the following words:
"We commemorate this Independence Day because the nation has survived despite its many challenges. We dare not celebrate because the nation has not flourished as it should. 54 years our national trek began with hope and promise, peace and unity.
Today, the nation staggers beneath the weight of trouble stacked upon problem multiplied by hardship. Peace and unity seem to have yielded the moment to violence and discord. We exist as a political unit on a map but we do not prosper as brothers and sisters in one nation, under one flag and pursuant to one accord."
Insisting that he is proud to be a Nigerian, Tinubu noted however that "genuine patriotism should not induce blindness"and urged Nigerians to focus on the problems that remain unresolved.
Speaking about the upcoming celebrations of the October 1 Independence Day, the former governor said:
This is not a time for fake cheers and elation at the present state of things just because the calendar has touch this day. We need to use this hour soberly by taking stock of the obstacles mounting before us and of the hard direction in which we seem to be heading. I fear this direction, if further taken, will lead us not home but to an appointment with failure and national destitution. "
He also expressed his opinion on the dynamics of changes in the country and criticized the acting administration over hindering the country progress because of the adopted direction.
"Nigeria currently is saddled with the reprobate leadership Awo, Zik, Sardauna and Tafawa Belewa feared. We have entered unchartered territory not so much because we are expanding the outer bounds of national progress. We traverse such ground because this government leads us into places where angles fear to tread and where sensible man should not go.
"Never has an elected government in Nigeria employed religion as a tool to divide the people, setting Nigerian brother against brother in a manner that allows this administration to function at the basest level of governance while seeking to establish a political domination that seeks no greater purpose than its self perpetuation. Our nation was supposed to advance, year by year, toward greater democracy. Instead, we rush into the pit of arbitrary, imperious rule that smacks of despotism."
Tinubu also enumerated Nigeria's problems and challenges concluding that those were not reasons for celebration, but the "troubling signals" that should awake the nation.
"The incessant attempts to stigmatize and physically intimidate a peaceful political opposition and the militarization of elections are features of a perverse democracy, a democracy run at gun-point and with a swift and eager trigger, Brazen assaults on the judiciary, the flippant and frequent violation of the constitution and the rule of law, and the elevation of corruption to making it a new and perhaps the strongest arm of government are the instruments that now shape our nation. These things are not the fare of celebration. They are the impetus for political reform and change."
In his statement Tinubu said the 16 years of ruling by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) pulled the country back adding that "the longer they rule, the less benefit the people derive".
He lamented over the politics which causes division of people saying that the flourishing can be reached only through unity.
"It is accomplished by honoring the principles of democratic good governance and economic justice. It is done by persuading the people they are better off as one instead of better off tearing at each other's throats."
"Governance is about trust. And this government is not even trusted by itself. That is why it does nothing except feed itself. This is not the road for a better Nigeria. We must proceed from this 54th anniversary to embark on a common sense revolution that brings about progressive change for the benefit of most of our country men and women, our youth and the vulnerable among us."
Thus, the speaker concluded with the idea that if Nigerians want to make a step forward, they should be ready for a change in order to celebrate the "Independence Day we can and should celebrate."

Crazy or Daring? Man Charged to Court for Drug Possession Smokes
Weed Right in Front of the Judge
Some folks have totally lost it, if you haven't met any, then its my pleasure to introduce you to Adam Hanly, who was in court for being in possession of drugs, and instead of doing all he can to make the judge tamper just with mercy – he does the most crazy thing ever.
Hanly pulled out a glass bong and took a hit of weed right in front of the judge hearing his case in the Taree court – According to him, he is "a servant of the lord Rastafari and had been sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to smoke up this court." Whaaat!!!
Anyways, the 50-year-old 'Rastafari servant' who was already facing a drug possession charge, before he whipped out the bong, was charged again.
Police have charged Hanly, who says he's an Avocado grower' with attempting to administer a prohibited drug as well as possession.
Seriously, what is this guy? Crazy or Bold????????

This May Bring Tears To Your Eyes! Meet The Boy Born Without A Face
His name is Yahya El Jabaly. The boy, who is now 3-years old, was born with no eyes, a hole in the middle of his face where his nose should be and no upper jaw.
The Moroccan born toddler was born deformed after complications in the womb stopped the bones in his face from fusing together.
Despite his incredibly rare condition, Yahya managed to survive and grow into healthy boy,However socially, he is automatically an outcast as his appearance is considered too confronting for many.
The toddler's face is covered up whenever he leaves his village. Also due to lacking the roof of his mouth, he is unable to speak and can only communicate through grunts.
Yahya's plight first went global when the father of his closest friend took to Facebook, pleading for medical professionals to help the boy live a normal life.
Fortunately for him, the post calling out for help was read by Fatima Baraka, a Melbourne breast cancer survivor who was born in a village close to Yahya's.
Ms Baraka said,
'He's entered my heart...I'm so in love with this little boy,'
'There was a big phone number in red [on the post], it was quite obvious that it was a cry for help of some sort and I found myself reaching for the phone and calling the number.
Ms Baraka took it upon herself to search for a surgeon who would be willing to transform Yahya's face and soon found Melbourne reconstructive surgeon, Tony Holmes who separated Bangladeshi-born conjoined twins Trishna and Krishna.
She then travelled to Yahya's home where she met the toddler and his family for the first time before bringing them to Australia. Of her first meeting with the family, Ms Baraka said,
'I was quite shocked. I didn't think I would be shocked but I was,'
'I was a little bit horrified to be honest.'
Yahya and his parents also met Dr Holmes after being flown to Melbourne where the three-year-old underwent a range of developmental tests from CT scans to MRI's, to confirm how his brain functions and if he was suitable for surgery.
Despite the serious risks involved, Dr Holmes soon agreed to operate on the toddler.
Yahya will undergo surgery in December, when Dr Holmes plans to bring the two sides of his skull together and build him a nose with his own skin. There is also a chance that the toddler will be able to speak after the procedure due to his vocal chords remaining intact.
