10 year old girl found wearing explosive device apparatus in Katsina

A 10 year old girl strapped with an explosive belt was yesterday July 29th discovered by security forces in company of two other people, a man and an 18 year old girl, while traveling along a road in Katsina state.
The DG of the National Information Center, Mr Mike Omeri said this while briefing news men at the National Information Center;
"Security forces on Tuesday, July 29, at about10pmalong Zaria Road, Tudun Wada of Funtua Metropolis, arrested three suspects believed to be members of the Boko Haram sect. The three suspects consisted a male named Iliya Haliru, and two females – Zainab Musa, 18, and Hadiza Musa, 10. The three suspects were arrested in a Honda CRV. When they were directed to disembark for security check, 10-year-old Hadiza was discovered to have been strapped with an explosive belt. And immediately, Iliya and Zainab made attempt to escape with the car but were later blocked by other concerned Nigerians and subsequently arrested. The police successfully unstrapped the explosive."He appealed to parents to monitor their wards so they do not get initiated into such evil acts.

Alleged Kaduna Bomber Disguised as Woman is Innocent?

The Nigerian military had on Friday, after the bomb blasts that targeted former military head of state, Mohammed Buhari's convoy, said they have arrested a suspected bomber who disguised himself as a woman. A statement by the Defence Headquarters said the suspect was arrested by a security team that arrived at the explosion site not long after the blast. That he was caught while trying to merge into a crowd of onlookers.
But according to this tweet from Ahmad Salkida's Twitter account, it seems the young man is innocent. Ahmad says his parents & relations have come forward insisting their son is innocent , that he was just at the wrong place at a wrong time.

Guests using toilet at posh hotel can be seen by passers-by after window design blunder

Guests using toilet at a newly opened posh hotel in Berlin can be seen from the street by passers-by after architects messed up the window design.
Several passers-by on the street below the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin have been taking pictures of guests at the hotel as they use the toilets in their room, prompting the hotel to put up notices which read: 'Please be careful, not only the monkeys are watching", pending when they fix the blunder
According to reports, the architect who designed the restaurant area in the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin thought the toilets should be placed next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, despite the building being only ten storeys tall.
The hotel, which offers great views of the Berlin Zoo, unfortunately also now offers jobless pedestrians an eye-ful if they look up.

President Jonathan officially launches 64-page e-passport

President Jonathan today officially launched and obtained the new 64-page e-passport. According to presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati;
"The new 64-pg e-passport helps frequent travelers, it's gender friendly, forestalls identity theft, cheaper for the aged and low income earners, conforms with international best practices."
"Cost of new e-passport for below 18yrs and 60 years and above is N8,750; change of name as a result of marriage or divorce is also N8,750
"The existing e-passport is 32pp; new one is 64pp but it is strictly for frequent travelers. Please note, it does not invalidate the 32 pp"
