Lekki Gardens MD Granted Bail, But He Can't Leave Nigeria

After weeks in police cell, an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court has granted bail to the MD of Lekki Garden Homes, Robert Nyong, on self-recognition for the alleged collapsed five-storey building.

The Magistrate, also admitted Taiwo Odofin, the contractor arraigned alongside the MD to bail in the like sum of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.

The judge ordered both men to report at the State Criminal Investigation and intelligence Department, Panti-Yaba, everyday till the police complete their investigations. The defendants would submit their international passports and were not permitted to travel out of the country till the matter is concluded.
