16-year-old Nigerian weightlifter wins gold at commonwealth games

Chika Amalahahas won Nigeria's first gold medal at the ongoing commonwealth games in Glasgow,United Kingdom.
The 16 year old emerged winner on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Clyde Auditorium after she lifted 85kg in the snatch and 111kg in the clean and jerk to claim top spot, lifting a total of 196kg, ahead of Papua New Guinea'sDika Toua and India's Santoshi Matsu, who won silver and bronze medals.
