Spurs ran out convincing winners in Helsinki after hitting Celtic for six with three goals in both halves, as Mauricio Pochettino gears up for the new season
Erik Lamela scored in a convincing victory for Tottenham Hotspuras they thrashed Celtic6-1 in Helsinki.
Mauricio Pochettino's side took the lead early on through young strikerHarry Kane, making space in the penalty area to receive the ball off Andros Townsend and rifle the ball into the corner of the net.
That lead was doubled just after ten minutes whenRoberto Soldadoscored from close-range at the second attempt, knocking the ball into an empty net when goalkeeper Craig Gordon parried his initial effort.
Yet Celtic grew into the game as time went on, pulling a goal back just before half time as midfielderDylan McGeouchran at Kyle Naughton before hitting a shot on goal that deflected past Brad Friedel into the net.
But moments later Naughton had redeemed himself. He exchanged passes Townsend down the left-hand side before teeing upLewis Holtbyfor a comfortable finish inside the penalty area.
Soldado departed at the break butErik Lamela, on at the interval, enhanced Spurs' lead further with a goal just after the hour mark. He hit a shot from 25-yards that deflected past Gordon in goal.
Spurs wrapped up the victory with two further goals in the latter stages.Christian Eriksencurled a free-kick into the top-left corner beforeEmmanuel Adebayordispatched a penalty with minutes to spare.
